Description

Nvidia lost $1 trillion in market value in under two months, then got it all back by October. OpenAI burned $3.7 billion in a single quarter on $5.7 billion in revenue. So is this a boom, or a bubble? In this video, I break down the one assumption the entire AI industry is standing on, and what happens everywhere at once if it breaks. We go through the numbers behind the spending race: how Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta went from $226 billion in capex in 2024 to a planned $725 billion in 2026, why OpenAI's own plan shows more going into computing than it expects to earn, and how the money moves in a circle between Nvidia, OpenAI, CoreWeave and Oracle. I also cover the best argument for the other side, because it deserves a fair hearing.
