I Spent $140,000 on a Beat-Up Volkswagen T2 Camper… Then Spent Another $28,000 on Restoration

I spent $140,000 on a beat-up Volkswagen T2 Camper that was far from the condition you would expect at that price. The van had no A/C and needed extensive refurbishment, so I decided to take on the challenge of bringing this classic camper back to life. After buying it, I invested another $28,000 into the restoration. From repairing the body and removing years of wear to restoring the interior, refreshing the mechanical components, improving the camper’s overall condition, and finishing the details, this Volkswagen T2 went through a complete transformation. The goal was to turn this tired and neglected camper into a beautiful, comfortable, and road-ready classic while preserving the character that makes the Volkswagen T2 so iconic. Would you spend $140,000 on a Volkswagen T2 Camper and another $28,000 to restore it?
