Description

The first of Amtrak Cascades' eight 'Airo' trainsets departed Chicago for the PNW on May 14, 2026, at the front of westbound Amtrak train #7. After multiple lengthy delays, the train ended up running over eight hours late, meaning that it would pass through all of Washington State in the light, a rare occurrence for a train that has a scheduled ETA of 2:44 a.m. in Spokane. Because of the rarity of this event, I took a road trip over to the east side of the state and chased it all the way to Index. Stevens Pass is one of my favorite places to chase trains and to bring you even closer to the action, I took some videos of the drives in between the locations that I shot at. Let me know what you think of the new video style!
