Your LED blinks, but UART prints garbage, and the code looks perfect. Most of the time the problem isn't C. In this video I go through the real reason MCUs feel hard, and the three things to check first when your MCU isn't working: the clock, the pin's role, and whether the peripheral is actually enabled. We'll look at what example code hides, the HAL trap, which "registers" really matter, and how debugging on an MCU means looking at the code and the hardware together. All examples use the NUCLEO-F401RE (STM32F401RE).
