Description

On September 11, 2001, three letters in a Korean Air 747’s message—HJK—set off a hijacking alarm. Fighter jets followed, a Canadian town evacuated, and the passengers had no idea. There was no hijacker. A stylized 3D reconstruction of Korean Air Flight 85. The cockpit, radar screens, livery, and map are illustrative; why the crew typed “HJK” remains unknown.
