When Life Is One Big Cope | The Philosophy of Peter Wessel Zapffe

According to Peter Wessel Zapffe, we humans have an overdeveloped consciousness. And this feature is more of a curse than a blessing, as it is the very reason we suffer so deeply and spend much of our lives running from pain; a cycle that seems impossible to break. This video explores Zapffe's work, The Last Messiah, its views on human suffering, how we cope, and an unsettling solution.
