Description

📖 Get The Art of Making Everything Last guide → https://thenaoshimethod.com Most washing machines that get replaced aren't broken. They smell, the clothes start smelling too, and eventually somebody decides it's time for a new one. That smell is a layer of mould growing on the outside of the drum, in the gap between the drum you see and the outer tub. Every wash leaves detergent residue, fabric softener and lint in there, and it stays damp. Water passes through that gap on every cycle, which means the washing runs through the layer before it reaches the laundry. This video covers why modern machines do this and older ones didn't, the Japanese percarbonate soak and the skimming step almost every guide outside Japan leaves out, what changes on a front-loader and why getting that wrong can damage the machine, and the one habit that stops the layer forming again. Before you start: check your manual. It specifies whether your machine accepts chlorine or oxygen cleaners, and some manufacturers state that oxygen products must not be used in drum-type machines at all. Follow the dose on the packet, and rinse thoroughly. Stop replacing. Start restoring. #JapaneseMethod #WashingMachine #LaundryTips
