Why Chinese People Sleep on Beds Heated by Fire 🔥🇨🇳 #shorts 📄 In parts of China, people once had a very unusual way of surviving freezing winters — they slept on beds that were heated from underneath by fire. 🔥 This traditional system is called a Kang Bed-Stove. A fire is lit in the kitchen, and the hot air and smoke travel through specially built channels beneath the bed. 🧱 The heat spreads across the entire surface, while the smoke is guided out through a chimney instead of entering the room. So the bed stays warm for hours… And the Kang becomes much more than a place to sleep. Families could sit, eat, relax, and spend time together on the same heated platform. 🥢 What looks like a bed sitting over a fire is actually a clever heating system built into the home. 🇨🇳 🏷️ #shorts #youtubeshorts #ytshorts#china #chineseculture #kangbed #kangbedstove #chineseheating #traditionalheating #traditionalchinesehouse #chinesetraditions #winterheating #homeheating #traditionaltechnology #chinesearchitecture #rurallife #traditionalhomes
