The Serial Killer Who Just Stopped

Between 1992 and 1993, three women were killed on the northern edge of Lisbon. All three were young, all three worked the street, and all three were named Maria. Two of them were found within a few metres of each other, eight months apart. The police questioned hundreds of people, brought in the FBI and followed leads from Massachusetts to Belgium. A man even confessed. More than thirty years later, the killer is still listed as unknown. We go through the case, every major theory, and what most likely happened. Who was the Lisbon Ripper, and why did he stop?
