Description

Europe’s support for Ukraine is entering a new phase — and Russia is feeling the pressure far beyond the front line. The European Union has approved €6.1 billion for Ukrainian air and missile defence, ammunition, drones and electronic warfare, including access to critical Patriot PAC-3 interceptors. At the same time, Ukraine is expanding its long-range strike capability, increasingly targeting the military-industrial infrastructure that keeps Russia’s war machine running. One of the latest reported operations reached roughly 800 kilometres inside Russia, where Ukrainian long-range drones targeted the Iskra Research and Production Plant in Ulyanovsk — a facility associated with radar, air-defence, anti-drone systems and electronic components linked to Russian weapons production. Other military-industrial facilities in Tula and Voronezh were also reported struck during the same campaign. In this video, Power Faultlines examines how European funding, Ukraine’s rapidly evolving drone industry, Patriot air defence support and deep-strike operations are changing the strategic equation for Vladimir Putin. As Ukraine pushes the battlefield deeper into Russian territory, Moscow faces an increasingly difficult problem: defending not only the front line, but factories, fuel infrastructure and military production networks spread across an enormous geographic area.
