How to Remove Rust from Car Boot?

If your car's boot is rusted due to water leakage, you can easily repair it yourself at home. Start by sanding down the affected area to remove all the rust. In my case, I'm using 60, 80 and 220-grit sandpaper. Lower grit sandpapers are more aggressive and remove heavy rust, while 220-grit sandpaper will allow us to smoothen the surface before painting. Next, apply metal primer. I've used a regular red oxide metal primer. Allow it a few hours to dry, I recommend waiting for a day. Finally, apply paint.
