What If One Second Felt Like Forever?

What if your brain got so fast... the whole world stopped? Rain hanging in the air. Lightning frozen in the sky. And above your best friend, a giant screen is falling. Max's brain is ten times faster than anyone else's, and it won't stop speeding up. Everyone who went "all the way" never came back. Tonight, in a storm, he has one flash of lightning to choose: keep his gift... or keep his best friend.
