Description

What can we learn from the old-fashioned women who came before us about being a godly woman? In this video, we’re talking about 8 things old-fashioned women knew about biblical womanhood—from putting Jesus first and discipling their children to practicing repentance, fearing the Lord, valuing Christian community, protecting their family’s time, and making God’s Word a non-negotiable. As I look at the women I was raised around and the wisdom we find in Proverbs 31, I believe there are some simple, biblical principles worth remembering. We don’t need to recreate the past, but we can certainly learn from the women who understood what mattered most. If you’re seeking encouragement to become a godly woman, live like a Proverbs 31 woman, and create a peaceful, Christ-centered home, I hope this video encourages you. I also have two simple recipes to share with you today: 🥗 Fresh Chickpea Salad — a simple, fresh, protein-rich recipe made with chickpeas, vegetables, herbs, lemon, and avocado oil. Printable Recipe: https://keepitsimpleannasue.com/fresh-chickpea-salad/ 🍫 Homemade Granola — an easy old-fashioned-style granola with oats, pecans, coconut oil, maple syrup, dried cranberries, and dark chocolate. Printable Recipe: https://keepitsimpleannasue.com/healthy-homemade-granola-recipe/ Homemade Granola Ingredients 4 cups old-fashioned oats 1½ cups chopped pecans 1 teaspoon sea salt ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ cup melted coconut oil ½ cup maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ⅔ cup dried cranberries ½ cup dark chocolate morsels Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, pecans, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until combined. Stir in melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Bake for 22 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool untouched for 1 hour. Sprinkle the dried cranberries and dark chocolate morsels over the cooled granola. Break into pieces and store in your favorite airtight container or gallon-size bag. Enjoy!
