BRITS AMERICAN TOUR — Crossing A Frozen River On Christmas: How George Washington Saved The American Revolution Christmas Day, 1776. Freezing temperatures. A half-frozen river. An army on the brink of collapse. And one man willing to risk absolutely EVERYTHING. In this episode of Brits American Tour, I'm diving into one of the most jaw-dropping moments in military history — George Washington's legendary crossing of the Delaware River on Christmas night. As a Brit, I have to admit… this one stings a little! 😅 The Continental Army was falling apart. Morale was rock bottom. Enlistments were expiring. The Revolution was days away from dying completely. So what did Washington do? He launched a surprise attack on the Hessian forces at Trenton, New Jersey, in the middle of a brutal winter storm. 🔹 Why was this crossing considered nearly impossible? 🔹 How did the weather actually HELP Washington? 🔹 What did the British get completely wrong? 🔹 And how did ONE night save the entire American Revolution? Come along as I walk the actual banks of the Delaware and piece together this incredible story from both sides of the Atlantic. You won't believe how close America came to losing it all. 👍 LIKE this video if you love history that gives you chills! 🔔 SUBSCRIBE to Brits American Tour for more epic American history through British eyes! 💬 COMMENT below — did you know just how desperate things were for Washington? ► Join the BPR fam (early access, behind-the-scenes & members-only merch) → https://www.patreon.com/britpopsreact ► BuyMeACoffee → https://buymeacoffee.com/britpopsreact ► Merch coming soon — Patreon gets first access.
