Description
Skinny, and worried about the day a bigger guy comes at you? In a straight fight, size usually wins. That's why boxing has 17 weight classes. So the skinny guy who comes out on top is the one who refuses to play the big guy's game.
This video is about self-defence, not fighting. It shows how distance, balance and simple physics protect you from someone bigger, how to get out of the two most common grabs, and why the real win is walking away without a scratch. No punches, no strikes, just the things that keep you safe and in control.
What you will learn:
• How far to stand from a bigger guy, and the "fence" that keeps your hands between you
• Why stepping to the side beats backing straight up
• Why balance beats strength, and the stance that makes you hard to move
• How to get out of a wrist grab (go through the thumb)
• How to get out of an arm around your neck (chin, turn, hips back)
• Why the ground is more dangerous than the punch, and why walking away takes the most guts
• What to train this week: legs, grip, the fence in a mirror, and a wrestling or judo class

This is for skinny guys and teenagers who want to feel safer, anyone who's ever been sized up by someone bigger, and parents who want their kid to know how to stay out of a fight.
Practise every escape slowly with a friend first, never at full speed. If someone threatens you, leave and tell a trusted adult.
