Conjoined Twins Die at 27 | 'Siameses del Ecuador' José Luis & José Armando: Life Story & Tributes The global social media community and South America are in deep mourning following the tragic passing of beloved Ecuadorian conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos Herrera, widely known as "Los Siameses del Ecuador," who passed away at the age of 27 on October 15, 2026. In this breaking news update and life retrospective, we examine the heartbreaking details surrounding their medical emergency. The brothers passed away at a hospital in Zipaquirá, Colombia, where they had been receiving specialized physical therapy since April to improve their mobility with the dream of walking independently. According to family reports and close friend Fernando Carrillo, José Luis suddenly suffered cardiac arrest. While doctors worked frantically to stabilize him, José Armando suffered a fatal heart attack just minutes later, leading to the tragic passing of both brothers. Born in Milagro, Ecuador, in 1999, José Luis and José Armando defied all medical odds from the moment they were born. Despite doctors predicting they would not survive past childhood, the brothers lived vibrant, full lives, continuously refusing separation surgery to stay united until the very end. In recent years, the duo gained international inspiration and a massive online following on Instagram and TikTok, sharing their daily lives, answering fan questions with humor, attending the State University of Milagro, and spreading messages of resilience, positivity, and unconditional brotherhood. We explore their complete life story—their upbringing in Ecuador, their inspirational social media rise, their therapy journey in Colombia, family statements, and the emotional tributes pouring in from followers worldwide.
