NASA’s Telescope Flying 40 KM Above Earth! 🎈🔭

🎈 ASTHROS: A Telescope in the Stratosphere NASA’s ASTHROS mission will use a huge high-altitude balloon to carry a powerful far-infrared telescope about 40 kilometers (25 miles) 🔭 Why Go So High? At this altitude, ASTHROS can observe wavelengths of light that are blocked by Earth’s atmosphere, helping scientists study star formation and the gas and dust around young stars. NASA Science 🌌 A Telescope Above the Clouds The mission shows how giant scientific balloons can give astronomers a unique view of the universe without sending the entire telescope into space. 🎥 SOURCE / CREDIT NASA / JPL-Caltech.
