Sleeping Beauty (and the Briar Rose): A Fairy Tale Reimagined | Fantasy AI Short Film

Enter an enchanting world of magic, fairies, friendship, and destiny in this reimagined Sleeping Beauty short film. Follow a princess as she grows up surrounded by seven fairy godmothers, forms a special bond with a young prince, and faces a villain and dark curse that changes everything. A cinematic fantasy story filled with romance, adventure, and magical storytelling. In this reimagined Sleeping Beauty adaptation, I tied in elements of much older versions of the story such as one version being called, "Little Briar Rose" as her name, and that she pricks her finger on flax, and not a spinning wheel, thus the incorporation of the rose, instead. Also, some original versions had 7 fairies so I decided my version would, too, which was also a fun way to play homage to Disney's battle of the dress colors except you get lots more colors in this retelling! Important Note: This version of the fairy tale, though inspired by the modern Disney retelling, is not a direct recreation of that version. Certain elements commonly associated with that version—such as specific objects, characters, character designs, enchanted objects, plot sequence and devices, and music—are protected by copyright. Due to this, in this version, some story elements, plot, visuals, and characters have been thoughtfully reimagined or changed to offer a different interpretation of this timeless story. This version stays true to the heart of the tale—a princess surrounded by love and blessings but can't escape fate, but love, hope, and goodness endure long enough to awaken what darkness tried to take away.
