Description

Give me one afternoon in your house, and before the first snow falls, I can fill your car for the thrift store with things you'll never miss. No photographs, no family quilts, nothing you love. Just the things that make every winter day a little harder, and a little less safe. In this video we put 3 hours on the clock and go room by room the way an Amish family would: the back door, the kitchen and pantry, the living room, the night path to the bathroom, the bedroom, the medicine cabinet, and the cellar or garage. And at the end, I'll tell you why Amish grandparents never wait till spring, and the one thing I can't let go of. WHAT YOU NEED Trash bags • 1 donation box • 2 "think-it-over" boxes • a marker • a timer Rule 1: Can't decide in 10 seconds? It goes in the think-it-over box. Rule 2: Nothing goes back into the house. Tape the think-it-over boxes and date them THANKSGIVING. If they're still shut when the family comes, donate them unopened. I told you mine. ▶ Watch next: https://youtu.be/bjuYF86BaqY?si=0pBgN7m7sK9Lo57P 🔔 Subscribe for more old-ways wisdom on simple living, frugal homes, and keeping your family safe. #declutter #amish #winterprep
