Goliath stood before Israel as a giant of fear and intimidation. For forty days, he threatened the armies of Israel—until a young shepherd named David stepped onto the battlefield. David did not come trusting in a sword, spear, or shield. He came in The Name of The LORD of hosts. 🔥 “The battle is the LORD’S.” — 1 Samuel 17:47 Before David ever faced Goliath, God had already been preparing him in the wilderness. David had faced the lion. He had faced the bear. The battles nobody saw were preparing him for the giant everyone would see. David would later declare: “He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.” — Psalm 18:34 Maybe there is a Goliath standing before you today. Fear. Debt. Addiction. Generational strongholds. Sickness. Rejection. An impossible situation that has been telling you it will never change. Remember what God has already brought you through. The lion was training. The bear was training. The wilderness was training. And The same God who was faithful before is still faithful today. Your giant may be bigger than you—but your giant is not bigger than your God. David declared: “Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts.” — 1 Samuel 17:45 Jehovah Nissi — The LORD is my Banner. So stand in faith and declare: I will not run. I will not bow to fear. The battle belongs to the LORD. This giant will fall. I WILL DEFEAT THE GIANT! 🙏 If this worship and prayer encouraged you, share it with someone who is facing a giant of their own today.
