Description

Living as a German minimalist in America has made me notice just how much overconsumption and spending money is engraved into everyday´s life here - much more than saving money and living intentionally. In this video, I’m sharing what it feels like to live with a more simple, frugal, and intentional German mindset in a culture that can often feel expensive, fast, and deeply consumer-driven. This is not about judging America or pretending that Germany is perfect. It is simply an honest look at the everyday spending habits, cultural differences when it comes to money and minimalism and frugality, and small German saving habits that have made me question how much we truly need to live a good life. As a German living in the United States, I have learned that minimalism is not just about owning fewer things. It is about protecting your time, money, attention, home, and peace from the constant pressure to consume more, so YOU actually get to decide what is important for your life, and not marketing. In this video we will talk about... - What feels different about shopping and everyday consumption in America - Why American Overconsumption life can feel wrong to a German minimalist - The pressure to upgrade your lifestyle, replace, and buy more - Pros and cons when i comes to financial strategies - How consumer culture can quietly steal our time, money, and mental energy Growing up in Germany, I learned many minimalistic habits that shaped how I see money and possessions, so wether you are trying to spend less, declutter your home, escape the pressure of consumer culture, build financial freedom, live more intentionally, or simply create a slower and calmer life, I hope this video reminds you that you are not behind just because you do not want more stuff. 🍂 Subscribe for no-buy and slow living, minimalism, underconsumption, financial freedom, homesteading, and simple life from a German perspective: @moneymalism #Minimalism #Underconsumption #SimpleLiving #GermanHabi
