Description

On June 6, 1944, German gunner Heinrich Severloh sat behind an MG42 at Widerstandsnest 62, overlooking Omaha Beach's Exit E3 — and became known to history as "The Beast of Omaha." This is the story of the farmer forced into war, the nine hours he spent behind that gun, and the American soldier who tracked him down decades later, not for revenge, but for something else entirely.
