Determined to protect the Amazon rainforest, a group of student activists fly to Peru only to crash-land deep in the jungle. Captured by a pack of bloodthirsty cannibals, the survivors suffer unspeakable acts of butchery at the hands of the very tribe they were trying to save. A non-stop barrage of carnage and chills, The Green Inferno is an unhinged blast! Bound and helpless in canoes, the activists are transported downriver to the isolated Yahez village. Upon arrival, the painted villagers parade them before the Elder Priestess, who inspects the terrified captives. Jonah is selected first and forced onto a stone sacrifice altar. In a horrifying display of tribal ritual, the Elder Priestess brutally gouges his eyes, cuts off his tongue, and dismembers his limbs while the village feast on his remains, leaving Justine and her friends paralyzed in shock and terror.
