Mongoose Defends Her Babies Against Giant Lizard #animals #wildlife

A monitor lizard knows the termite mound hides a nest. It digs until the kits scatter, then seizes one. The mongoose mother can't out-strength it — so she takes the flank, cuts off its escape, and bites behind its neck. The lizard decides the mound is not worth the fight. The kits return to the den. Sometimes the fight is won with the right angle, not the biggest bite. 🦎 #mongoose #monitorlizard #wildlife #naturereels #africananimals
