Description
You will see that Australia’s past was EVEN SCARIER, CRAZIER, AND MORE TERRIFYING than its modern nature! I’ve explored Australia’s most disturbing extinct animals. We’re digging up the prehistoric nightmares that once ruled the Land Down Under. From giant "Demon Ducks" to land-roving crocodiles, the longer you watch, the more you’ll realize that nature used to be much more terrifying.
What’s Lurking in This Video?
Koolasuchus cleelandi: A 16-foot amphibian that looks like a "carnivorous toilet seat" and had no problem snacking on small dinosaurs.
The Demon Ducks (Dromornithidae): Forget cute pond birds; these 1,250-pound "mutant" birds were flightless heavyweights that lived alongside early humans.
Wonambi naracoortensis: The real-life "Rainbow Serpent". This 6-meter constrictor didn't need venom—it simply squeezed until it heard your bones crack.
Meiolania: A bizarre, 2-meter armored turtle with horns and a spiked tail. This species was still roaming around while the Pyramids were being built.
Australovenator ("Banjo"): Australia’s largest carnivorous dinosaur. At 30 mph, there was no outrunning those 30-centimeter "stabby-stabby" claws.
Quinkana: A nightmare on four legs. Unlike modern crocs, this 6-meter beast hunted on land, running like a horse with teeth like a meat grinder.
Thylacoleo carnifex (Marsupial Lion): This jaguar-sized predator had the bite force of an African lion and teeth like bolt cutters. It would drop from trees to "explode" its victim's head like a watermelon.
Megalania: The largest venomous lizard to ever walk the earth. A close relative of the Komodo dragon, it used hemotoxic venom to ensure its prey never stopped bleeding.
