🌍 What existed before Pangaea? 🌏
Long before Earth’s continents joined into the famous supercontinent, our planet had already lived through billions of years of extraordinary change. Entire landmasses had assembled, fractured, drifted apart, and collided again. Mountain ranges rose and vanished. Oceans opened where solid land had once existed. Strange forms of life transformed the seas, the atmosphere, and eventually the continents themselves.
Tonight, we travel back into that almost unrecognisable Earth.
We’ll explore the supercontinents that came before Pangaea, including Rodinia and Nuna, and follow the immense geological forces that slowly rearranged the planet. We’ll pass through episodes of extreme global ice, enter the strange Ediacaran world, witness the Cambrian explosion, and meet some of the earliest animals to establish themselves on land.
This is not simply the story of what came before one supercontinent. It is the story of an ancient Earth that repeatedly rebuilt itself long before the modern world took shape.
Settle in and let billions of years pass by at a slower pace, accompanied by calm narration and 432 hz background music designed for bedtime listening.
This journey includes:
- Ancient supercontinents and continental drift
- Rodinia, Nuna, and Gondwana
- Snowball Earth
- Ediacaran life
- The Cambrian explosion
- Trilobites and early ocean ecosystems
- The rise of fishes
- The first plants and animals on land
- Paleozoic landscapes
- The geological road toward Pangaea
No adverts. No rushing. Just a long, relaxing journey through deep time.
Whether you’re here to fall asleep, unwind after a long day, or simply wonder what Earth looked like before anything familiar existed, I hope this ancient world gives your mind somewhere interesting to wander.
