Description

Thursday at our house is the night the fridge decides dinner - the soft peppers, the two-day rice, the spinach with one morning left. Most families call that leftovers night and everybody groans, because reheating is asking the family to vote yes on a meal they already voted no on. Ours is called harvest night, the kids run it, and it is why our crisper is never a graveyard. This is the whole system: why a standing calendar slot fixes what willpower cannot, the three formats that take literally any combination, the pick ritual that makes the kids the ones clearing the fridge, the must-may-never scoring rule, and the seasoning anchors that make random ingredients taste planned. In this video: THE SYSTEM, IN ORDER 1.Why leftovers night fails - the re-vote problem and the containers-versus-ingredients mistake. 2.The calendar slot - why Thursday, and why a floating clean-out night never happens. 3.The three formats - the tray, the bowl and the flatbread that cover anything the bin produces. 4.Three Thursdays in a row - a good bin, a thin bin and a strange bin, and what each became. 5.The pick ritual - the kids choose, one veto each, and the rule that makes the choosing safe. 6.The scoring rule - must, may and never, and why the never list protects the whole system. 7.The seasoning anchors - why the seasoning never changes while the ingredients do. 8.The empty-bin week - the good kind of problem, and what Thursday does to Saturday's list. What does your family call the night the fridge picks dinner?
