She Carried 31 Pounds of Matted Fur for Two Years… This Mastiff Forgot Who She Was This emotional Mastiff dog rescue follows Juniper, a neglected dog found carrying an unbelievable 31 pounds of matted fur after years of suffering. In this Mastiff dog rescue story, four shelter workers spend six careful hours freeing her from the painful coat — only to discover that removing the fur is just the beginning. Underneath was a beautiful senior Tibetan Mastiff who had to learn how to move comfortably, trust people again, and understand a body that suddenly felt completely different. From an extreme matted dog rescue to an unforgettable senior dog adoption story, Juniper's journey is a reminder that sometimes the animal being rescued isn't the only one who needs saving.
