Thunder Warriors vs Astartes: 1 clear winner ..

The Thunder Warriors came before the Space Marines, hit harder in the old stat books, and reportedly held their own against Custodians. So why did the Emperor replace them? We covers where the Thunder Warriors came from, the Wars of Unification they fought and died in, and why the Emperor had the survivors wiped out afterward. It lays out the strongest arguments fans make for Thunder Warrior superiority, including feats like Ushotan pressuring Valdor and Ghota holding off five Legions at once, then explains why those feats don't hold up once you factor in survivorship bias, the gear gap between early armor and modern power armor, and how much longer Astartes live and train.
