Description

How did Howrah Railway Station grow from a small riverside terminus into a massive 24-platform transport hub despite having very limited space between the Hooghly River and a rapidly expanding city? The answer lies in nearly 175 years of railway history, urban planning, engineering adaptation and continuous expansion. 2026 में 635-metre-long Platform No. 24 के operational होने के साथ Howrah की capacity expansion में एक और बड़ा chapter जुड़ा। River के नीचे tunnel section लगभग 520 metres long है और यह India का first major under-river Metro transportation tunnel बना। Today, Howrah is not simply an old railway station. It is a remarkable example of how infrastructure can keep evolving when land is limited, passenger demand continues to rise and an entire city grows around it. If you enjoy engineering documentaries, railway history, megaprojects, bridge construction, metro technology, civil engineering and fascinating infrastructure stories, this video takes you deep into the evolution of one of India’s most iconic railway terminals. #HowrahStation #HowrahBridge #IndianRailways #KolkataMetro #Engineering #RailwayHistory #Infrastructure #CivilEngineering #Megaprojects #Howrah #Kolkata #Documentary Channel: Process Decoder
