Description
Positive thinking is often misunderstood as forcing yourself to feel good, ignoring difficult emotions, or repeating reassuring thoughts until they feel true.
But Buddhist teaching offers a different approach.
In this video, we explore how to work with negative thoughts without suppressing them, believing them automatically, or turning them into a bigger inner struggle. We look at Right Intention, mental cultivation, mindfulness, and the difference between allowing a thought and feeding it.
You’ll learn a simple three-step practice:
Recognize. Allow. Redirect.
Instead of forcing positive thoughts, the goal is to notice what the mind is doing, create space around difficult thoughts, and choose something more grounded, honest, and wise to strengthen.
Peace does not come from forcing every thought to become positive. It begins when you learn to see thoughts clearly, stop feeding what creates suffering, and cultivate what leads toward wisdom and compassion.
