The Robot Who Waited is about a small domestic robot who is told to wait at a train station for his owner… so he does. Days turn into seasons. Seasons turn into years. The station changes, the world moves on, and the robot slowly begins to rust — but he never leaves that bench. What he doesn’t know is that his owner did love him. She moved away, started a family in New York and, later in life, developed severe Alzheimer’s. As her memory faded, she held onto fragments of the robot for as long as she could, telling her grandchildren stories about him until eventually even those memories disappeared. Her granddaughter always thought they were just stories… until she found an old forgotten photograph of them together at the station, with the date and location written on the back. So she went looking. He was left alone. But he was never forgotten. ❤️
