Rock Python Attacks a Lion Cub… Then a Honey Badger Joins the Fight | Wildlife Documentary

Rock Python Attacks a Lion Cub… Then a Honey Badger Joins the Fight | Wildlife Documentary A curious lion cub wanders too far from the safety of its pride and suddenly crosses paths with an African rock python waiting in the dry grass. Within seconds, the python strikes, grabs the cub, and begins wrapping its powerful coils around the young lion. The cub struggles desperately as the pressure increases, but its cries quickly bring the pride running. The lioness charges in first, attacking the python and trying to tear the coils away from her cub. Soon, other lionesses join the rescue, surrounding the snake and forcing it to defend itself from several directions at once. As the pressure builds, the python finally loses its grip and the cub is pulled free. But the confrontation is not over. Trying to escape, the exhausted python retreats into thick brush — where a honey badger is already resting. Suddenly trapped between the lionesses outside and a fearless honey badger inside, the python faces an even more difficult fight. This wildlife documentary explores the hunting behavior of African rock pythons, the protective instincts of lionesses, the social advantages of living in a lion pride, and the bold opportunistic behavior of honey badgers. It also shows how curiosity, competition, and survival can connect several species in a single chain of events on the African savanna.
