Your Life as Every Rank as a U.S. Navy Fighter Pilot

What is it really like to build a career as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot? From a newly commissioned Ensign learning the basics of military aviation to the elite world of carrier-based fighter operations, this video takes you through the major stages of a Navy fighter pilot's career. You will follow the journey through flight training, the T-6B Texan II, T-45C Goshawk, Fleet Replacement Squadron training, carrier qualification, and life in aircraft such as the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and F-35C Lightning II. As you level up, the role changes. You begin by mastering the cockpit. Then you become a fleet pilot, department head, executive officer, squadron commander, and potentially a Carrier Air Wing commander or senior flag officer. This is not simply a story about flying fighter jets. It is a story about increasing responsibility, from controlling one aircraft to leading entire naval aviation forces. Every rank brings a new challenge. Every promotion changes what depends on you. And throughout the career, one thing remains the same: the carrier deck keeps moving. #usnavy #fighterpilots #militaryhistory #navalaviation #usmilitary #f18superhornet #f35c #aircraftcarrier #navypilot #militarycareers
