Description

In the late '80s, Karlton Hines was one of the best young basketball players in New York. Jim Boeheim walked into the Melrose Houses to recruit him. Syracuse was waiting. He was four months from graduating. On April 8, 1994, he was shot and killed on Boston Road in the Bronx, four days before a pro tryout that could have changed everything. Built from federal court records and firsthand accounts, this documentary traces his rise, his fall into the streets of Courtlandt Avenue, and the case against Peter "Pistol Pete" Rollack, the man who killed him and his friend Carlos Mestre.
