Have you ever given a problem to God in prayer—only to spend the rest of the day worrying about it?
First Peter 5:7 says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” But casting your cares upon the Lord does not mean pretending the problem is unimportant. It means learning what belongs in your hands and what must be placed in God’s hands.
In this video, you will discover why anxious thoughts can return after prayer, why worry often feels like responsibility and how repeated overthinking can keep your mind focused on uncertainty.
You will also learn a simple two-column exercise to help you:
• Identify what is within your responsibility
• Release outcomes you cannot control
• Respond when anxious thoughts return
• Practise trusting God without ignoring practical action
• Stop mentally picking up burdens you have already surrendered
The goal is not to condemn yourself whenever you feel anxious. It is to stop treating every anxious thought as an instruction you must follow.
Do what belongs to you. Give God what belongs to Him. Trust Him with the outcome.
SCRIPTURES:
1 Peter 5:7
Philippians 4:6–7
