Description

Watch two ant colonies race through a complex obstacle course to see if they merge or fight after 30 days of isolation. This experiment tests how rival ant colonies adapt to a shared environment packed with challenges. I built a miniature world featuring a volcano diorama and various carnivorous plants, including Venus flytraps and sundews. The setup forces the ants to navigate these dangerous natural traps while foraging for resources. You will get an up-close look at their foraging patterns, territory defense, and how they interact with the predatory flora I placed in their path. By the end of the 30-day experiment, the two groups finally meet. I track their behavior to observe if they form a super-colony or engage in total war. This 30-day experiment provides a rare view of insect behavior in a controlled, high-stakes ecosystem. Same style as Dr Plants and Terragreen videos. ***No ants were harmed in the making of this video. Behind the scenes, I personally rescued any ants that were in danger, whether they were trapped by carnivorous plants or threatened by other ants.
