Shocking Things You Didn't Know About ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' (1996)

#EverybodyLovesRaymond #RayRomano #PatriciaHeaton #BradGarrett #PeterBoyle For nine years, Everybody Loves Raymond looked like the safest comfort food on television. But behind the laughs was a much harder story: a star fired from his first sitcom, a legal loophole just to let him headline, a show that began at number 84, a cast standoff over pay, and losses so painful the creators say the Barones can never return. In this documentary-style video, we go behind the scenes of Everybody Loves Raymond (1996): how Ray Romano went from NewsRadio to Letterman to his own series, how Phil Rosenthal turned real family tension into a hit, the casting of Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts, the ratings climb from 84th to the top ten, the salary fight that nearly cost the show Robert, Peter Boyle's remarkable life and the Emmy he never won for Raymond, the finale, the remakes around the world, and why there will be no reboot.
