The Manchester Gang Boss Who Tortured His Rivals: The Darren Berkeley Syndicate

Did Daddy die?" Those chilling words, whispered by a terrified seven-year-old boy to armed police officers, revealed the horrifying reality of Greater Manchester’s underground turf wars. In late 2019, an organised gangland kidnap squad shattered every unwritten underworld rule, dragging targets from their family homes and subjecting them to unthinkable cruelty. Sitting at the top of the operation was 43-year-old Darren Berkeley—a calculating crime boss who believed his status kept him completely untouchable. Operating through volatile frontline enforcers, including his 26-year-old stepson Paris Bostock and 24-year-old Blake Evers, the syndicate carried out daylight abductions, using blowtorches, searing hotplates, and loaded firearms to extort massive underworld ransoms. In this documentary, The Crime Reporter goes inside the harrowing 999 emergency call, the brutal safehouse tortures, and the relentless police investigation led by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team that brought down one of Britain’s most ruthless crime crews. 🔔 Subscribe to The Crime Reporter for weekly documentaries on British gangland history, underworld figures, and police manhunts. 👍 If you found this case gripping, please leave a like and share your thoughts in the comments below. ======================================== TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - The 999 Call: "Did Daddy Die?" 1:36 - The Shadows of "Gunchester" 3:10 - Darren Berkeley & His Enforcers 4:22 - 24 Hours in Hell: The £34,000 Ransom 5:53 - The Fallowfield Daylight Ambush 7:22 - The Forensic Net Closes In 8:41 - Manchester Crown Court: The Verdicts ======================================== #ManchesterGangWars #TheCrimeReporter #UKTrueCrime #Gunchester #BritishUnderworld #TrueCrimeDocumentary The Crime Reporter, Darren Berkeley, Paris Bostock, Blake Evers, Elliot Cummings, Manchester gang wars, Gunchester, Manchester underworld, UK true crime, British gangland documentary, The Detectives BBC, Greater Manchester Police, GMP Major Incident Team, DS Julie Connor, true
