My project is titled “Solar Tracker System Using Arduino and LDR.” 2. The main aim of this project is to demonstrate how a solar panel can automatically adjust its direction to follow sunlight. 3. This model is made using a small solar panel, Arduino UNO, two LDR sensors, a servo motor, resistors and connecting wires. 4. LDR stands for Light Dependent Resistor, whose resistance changes according to the intensity of light falling on it. 5. Two LDR sensors are placed on opposite sides to detect differences in light intensity. 6. The 10 kΩ resistors help form voltage-divider circuits so the Arduino can measure the light levels. 7. The Arduino UNO acts as the brain of the system and processes the readings from both sensors. 8. When the left LDR receives more light than the right LDR, the Arduino detects the difference. 9. The Arduino sends a control signal to the servo motor to rotate the solar panel towards the brighter side. 10. When the right LDR receives more light, the panel rotates towards the right. 11. When both sensors receive nearly equal light, the panel stays approximately in its current position. 12. The servo motor allows the panel to rotate within a limited angle according to the Arduino program. 13. This model demonstrates the principle of automatic solar tracking and the use of sensors in renewable-energy systems. 14. A practical solar tracker can improve the alignment of a solar panel with sunlight, although its extra power consumption and cost must also be considered. 15. Through this project, I learned about solar energy, light sensors, Arduino programming and automation. Thank you.
