कचरा बीनकर कैसे जीते हैं लाखों लोग? | Life of Waste Pickers in India | Hindi Documentary

India produces millions of tonnes of waste every year, but behind this massive waste system is a largely invisible workforce — waste pickers who collect, sort and recover recyclable material from streets, bins and landfills. In this documentary, we look at the real lives of India’s waste pickers — how they earn a living, the health risks they face, why many children become part of this work, and why these workers are still largely part of the informal economy. We also look at Delhi’s major landfills and the SWaCH cooperative model in Pune, where waste pickers have been formally organized and recognized as workers. This is not just a story about garbage. It is about the people working behind the scenes to keep our cities cleaner, while often living without stable income, social security or proper recognition. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sources & References: UNDP India UNDP — Baseline Analysis of the Socio-Economic Situation of Safai Sathis UNDP India UNDP — Who Picks (Y)Our Waste?
