Ravan Lost to Indra in the Battle

Indra vs Ravana: Who was more powerful? Long before Lord Rama fought Ravana in the Ramayana, the king of Lanka launched an invasion of heaven itself. But when Ravana faced Lord Indra, the king of the gods, the battle took an unexpected turn. Ravana nearly became a prisoner, and only his son Meghanada could change the outcome. This incredible story from the Valmiki Ramayana, Uttara Kanda, reveals the forgotten battle between Indra and Ravana, the extraordinary powers of Meghanada, and how Ravana's son earned the legendary name Indrajit, the conqueror of Indra. Ravana had received a powerful boon from Lord Brahma that protected him from death at the hands of the gods. But Indra discovered another way to defeat him. Instead of trying to kill Ravana, Indra ordered the Devas to capture him alive. As the gods surrounded Ravana, his son Meghanada entered the battlefield using extraordinary magical powers. He became invisible, attacked Indra, and eventually captured the king of heaven himself. But how did Meghanada defeat Indra? Why couldn't Ravana defeat the gods on his own? And why did Lord Brahma personally intervene to secure Indra's release? In this video, we explore one of the most fascinating battles described in Hindu mythology and the ancient Ramayana.
