Israel Just Uncovered Something Beneath the Pool of Siloam — The Bible Was Right

Israel Just Uncovered Something Beneath the Pool of Siloam — And the discovery is raising new questions about ancient Jerusalem and the biblical record. Archaeologists working in the City of David have uncovered major evidence connected to Jerusalem's ancient water system, including a monumental dam dating to the time of the biblical kings. The structure helped create an artificial reservoir in the area associated with the Pool of Siloam, offering new insight into how ancient Jerusalem managed water. The discovery is especially fascinating because the Pool of Siloam is directly connected to the biblical history of Jerusalem. The later Second Temple-period pool was identified in excavations and is associated with the account in John 9, while the exact location of the earliest biblical pool remains debated among archaeologists.
