Le Mans Untold: The Drivers Ford v Ferrari Forgot

Ford v Ferrari gave you Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby. It gave Dan Gurney a cameo. It gave Bruce McLaren about four minutes of screen time — despite the fact that he's the man who actually won the race. The real story of Le Mans '66 involves hundreds of people across three countries. Dan Gurney was leading the race for most of the night before his engine blew with victory in sight. Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon drove a flawless race and won it outright — fair and square, no controversy, no asterisk. Engineers in Charlotte, Slough, and Detroit built the car that made it all possible. None of them got a scene in the movie. This video tells you who they actually were, what they actually did, and why the real story of Le Mans '66 is bigger, stranger, and more human than the one Hollywood gave you.
