Cop Faces Off with Hammer Attacker After Pursuit

Body camera footage captures a Wisconsin police sergeant coming face to face with a man wielding a hammer after a high-speed chase. The pursuit began over a stolen vehicle tied to a burglary and ended when 44-year-old Eric Pottinger crashed, getting out with a hammer in hand. The encounter escalated quickly as Pottinger climbed into the sergeant's own squad car, then stepped back out with the hammer raised.
