She knew I was desperate for friends (STORY)

I was so desperate to make friends my freshman year of college that when a girl from class invited me to a party, I didn’t think twice. Even when the address took me way outside town. Even when I pulled up to a dark trailer in the woods with no cars outside. I should have left. Instead, I went in. The people inside barely moved. Nobody was talking. Something about all of them felt off, and before long I realized my car was gone and the girl who invited me had no intention of letting me leave before I played their game. She knew exactly why I had come. She knew I wanted friends. And that was the whole reason she picked me.
