12 Forgotten Christmas Fads Every 1970s Kid Saw Go Away

Flocked trees, Woolworth's card boxes, holiday records, and the candy dish nobody was supposed to touch. Here are 12 forgotten 1970s Christmas traditions that quietly disappeared but never left our hearts. Christmas in the 1970s wasn't about perfection. It was about repetition. The same brooch on Mom's coat, the same department store window downtown, the same records on the console stereo every December until they became muscle memory. How many of these did your family have? IN THIS VIDEO Christmas brooches and pins, the big department store window display, greeting card box sets from Woolworth's (the five and dime), holiday record albums, flocked and frosted trees, the Christmas candy dish, plastic holly tablecloths, school holiday parties, Tupperware in avocado green and harvest gold, the family Christmas portrait, red candle centerpieces, and the special Christmas chocolates like Whitman's Sampler. Which one lived in your house every December? Tell me in the comments. Your memory might end up in the next video. #1970s #ChristmasNostalgia #1970sChristmas 🎵 More videos you'll love: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPKNrWeXdWlBWakZyDlLnEzp-JO6JNiZi ❤️ Snag a mug or t-shirt: https://waybackamericana.creator-spring.com 🤍 Subscribe for new videos every week: https://www.youtube.com/@WayBackAmericana?sub_confirmation=1 💙 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/p/Way-Back-Americana-61569367730521/ ────────────── DISCLAIMER: The materials in this video are intended for entertainment purposes and comply with fair use guidelines.
