Kevin Jennings's Personal Life, Early Life, Career ( SMU QB Star's Rise)

Jennings' rise to the college football spotlight did not happen overnight. Born on April 10, 2004, Jennings grew up in Oak Cliff, a neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. He attended South Oak Cliff High School, where he developed into one of the area's most talented young quarterbacks. His senior season was particularly impressive. Jennings led the Golden Bears to a remarkable 14–1 record and helped the team win the 2021 5A Division II State Championship. By the end of his high school career, he had put together some impressive numbers. He threw for 5,932 yards and 71 touchdowns while also adding 557 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. Those numbers showed that Jennings was more than a traditional pocket passer. He had the ability to make plays with his legs and could hurt defenses in multiple ways. Interestingly, despite his impressive high school career, Jennings was not considered one of the nation's biggest recruiting stars. He entered the recruiting process as a three-star prospect. #KevinJennings #SMU #SMUMustangs #knowthem
