Fall is just around the corner, and we’re getting ready for the new season around the house and garden! In this episode of Hooked and Rooted at Home, I’m making a hydrangea wreath with flowers from the garden, adding a new work table to the greenhouse, sharing an easy one-dish weeknight dinner, and showing how we’re saving money on cable TV by using an indoor antenna. I’m also sharing my fall bulb order and what I’ll be planting in the garden this year. Thank you so much for spending your time with us, Steph & George 🌱#gardentour #hookedandrooted #gardening #home #lifestyle #fall #moneytips 👩‍🍳Recipe for the Orzo, Boursin, Chicken Sausage Bake 🍽 Preheat your oven to 400, and In a 9x13 size baking or casserole dish combine the following ingredients: 1 - 16 oz box of Orzo Pasta 1 - package of Boursin Garlic & Herb 1 - package of cherry or grape tomatoes (or, a great way to use up garden cherry tomatoes, roughly 2 cups) 1 - package of baby spinach (i keep mine frozen and use a half a bag, but if you like spinach you can use a full bag) 2 -Tbsp on minced garlic, jarred or fresh minced Generous Drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil all over the ingredients (roughly 3 tbsps) 3/4 of a container of chicken stock or chicken broth. I find 3.5 cups to work best to allow the orzo to cook. 2 packages of Chicken sausage (the Italian or apple varieties are both delicious in this recipe) sliced thin Put your casserole in the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes stir to combine ingredients and to mix in the now softened boursin. Pop back into the oven for another 5-10 minutes to finish it off. That's it. Easy, Cozy, and Delicious!
