Valkyrija - She Chose the Sea (Official Music Video) | Dark Nordic Viking Folk

“She Chose the Sea” is a Nordic story about freedom, courage and choosing your own path... even when the world expects something else from you. She could have stayed. She could have lived the life others had chosen for her. But she wanted something different. So she walked away. Not because it was easy. Because it was hers to choose. 🌊 ⚔️ SHE CHOSE THE SEA — VALKYRIJA Nordic Dark Folk • Viking Folk • Cinematic Nordic Music 🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6vcwbEZF6t2JMuaikJjdM9 🍎 Apple Music: ‎https://music.apple.com/us/artist/valkyrija/6800850718 🎵 Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/artists/B0HFBPPRXP/valkyrija 🎧 FOLLOW ME ON SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6vcwbEZF6t2JMuaikJjdM9 If you love Nordic stories, powerful women and songs about freedom, courage and finding your own way, subscribe and join VALKYRIJA on the journey. ❄️🌊 🎵 Lyrics 🎵 They chose the man They chose the day They laid the white dress Where she would stay But in the night She cut her hair Stole a small boat And left them there No gold, no map No guiding light Just open water And one dark night They gave her a cage She chose the sea They planned her life She chose to leave She chose the sea She chose her name She crossed the storm And never came back No ring, no chain No man would lead She chose the sea She chose to be free Three days alone The waves rose high Then foreign sails Cut through the sky They pulled her aboard Half-frozen, weak She learned their stars She learned their speech She learned the blade The sail, the trade And every year A captain was made They gave her a cage She chose the sea They planned her life She chose to leave She chose the sea She chose her name She crossed the storm And never came back No ring, no chain No man would lead She chose the sea She chose to be free Years later Her village heard Of a woman Who feared no storm Through blackened reefs And waters wild She brought every ship Safely home She chose the sea She cho
